Nathan Reinhardt graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas in 1999 with a focus in 3D Modeling and is a native Texan who's grown up in the Greater Dallas area. Upon graduating with an award for best 3D Modeling portfolio, he immediately began working for a AAA video game studio designing characters. He has always had a passion for studying the expression of human form and figurative art. For many years, Nathan had a successful career as a leading character artist, designing and contributing to major titles, such as 007 NightFire (James Bond), Brothers In Arms, Blood Rayne, and Blair Witch, etc. He enjoyed combining art and technology as a way for people to experience art in an interactive form.

However, he was continuously exploring other forms of artistic expression. Nathan has been surrounded by art his entire life. His father was an artist as well, who did acrylics on canvas in abstract forms for much of his life. Nathan felt the pull for that method of expression as well. When 2020 hit and the world shifted to working from home, Nathan decided to make the needed sacrifices in order to dedicate more time to his passion in the form of oil painting. It felt like the paradigm shift he needed to be his most authentic creator self. Figure painting in oil has become his primary focus and he hopes to shift his career to this medium entirely.

With Nathan’s experiences and a life surrounded by and immersed in artistic expression, Nathan brings a distinctive painting style which is intuitive and a unique dichotomy of soft human shapes and stark geometric angles.
